The Student Conference Award (StCA) is available for registered postgraduate students in biostatistics to attend and present a paper at the 41st Annual Conference of the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics.
Approximately three awards will be granted depending on the number and quality of the applications. Selection will be made on the basis of a summary of a paper to be presented, which should illustrate the application of statistical methodology to clinical or epidemiological research. Results of particular studies are of interest only if the analysis has methodological implications or shows a novel and interesting application of biostatistics. Applications should be prepared as described in this document and sent by email to the Chair and Secretary of the StCA subcommittee. Note that, in addition to the application, a short abstract of the paper, prepared according to the ISCB standard conference format, has to be submitted as an ordinary abstract via the conference abstract handling system. At the time of abstract submission, you will be asked to indicate whether you are applying for the StCA. The evaluation of this submission by the Scientific Program Committee (intended for setting up the conference programme) will be independent from the evaluation by the StCA subcommittee.
Closing date for the StCA applications is Monday 16 March 2020 (24 hours CET).
